Our Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with direct patient care and accurate recording of patient information following the established office processes. Essential Functions:
Perform pre- and post-office visit and health administrative duties: room/procedure preparation, maintain medical supply inventory, process referrals, verify insurance, ensure related reports and labs are recorded in patient's EMR, and patient chart preparation/documentation
Escort patients to exam rooms, collect and document in the EMR patient vitals, patient history, family history, medication reconciliation, etc.
Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms as needed

Complete ancillary office tasks pertaining to check-in/check-out and telephone inquiries

Summary/Objective
The primary role of the PACU/Pre-op Nurse is to provide continuity of care to meet individual patient needs. The ability to administer diligent care to outpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. The post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local.
